Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are non-invasive treatments that use a chemical solution to exfoliate and remove damaged outer layers of skin, revealing fresher, smoother skin underneath. These treatments are highly effective for improving skin texture, reducing fine lines, and treating acne, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone. Chemical peels also stimulate collagen production, enhancing skin elasticity and promoting a more youthful appearance.

Chemical peels work by applying a specialized chemical solution to the skin that exfoliates and removes the outermost layers of dead or damaged skin cells. The solution typically contains acids such as alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA), or trichloroacetic acid (TCA), which work to break down the bonds holding the skin cells together. This allows the damaged skin to slough off, revealing smoother, healthier skin underneath.
The application process is virtually painless and takes approximately 15 minutes. There is little downtime, with visible peeling that normally lasts two to four days.

During the Procedure:
Preparation: Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any makeup, oils, or impurities before the peel is applied.
Application: A chemical solution is applied to your skin, which may cause a mild tingling or burning sensation. For deeper peels, you may experience a more intense feeling, but it is generally tolerable. The duration of the treatment depends on the type of peel being performed, ranging from 15 minutes for light peels to an hour for deeper treatments.
Type of Peel: Depending on your needs, the provider may choose a superficial, medium, or deep peel, each targeting different layers of the skin.
Immediately After the Procedure:
Initial Sensations: You may experience redness, mild swelling, or a sunburn-like sensation, especially after medium or deep peels. This typically lasts for a few hours but can extend for several days with more intensive peels.
Peeling: The treated skin does not always peel, but it may begin to peel within 2–3 days after the procedure. This process helps remove the outer layer of dead skin cells to reveal fresh, rejuvenated skin underneath.
Aftercare: You will be advised to avoid sun exposure, use gentle moisturizers, and apply sunscreen regularly to protect the healing skin.
Recovery and Results:
Mild Peels: For superficial peels, there is little to no downtime, and the redness or flaking may subside within 3–5 days.
Medium and Deep Peels: Recovery may take longer, ranging from 7 to 14 days, depending on the depth of the peel. Skin may feel tight, and peeling may be more noticeable.
Long-Term Results: As the skin heals, you will notice smoother texture, brighter skin tone, and improvements in fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and other concerns. Full results appear in 2–4 weeks, with long-term improvements continuing for up to several months.
