Frequently Asked Questions

  • Facial balancing leverages dermal filler injections to create a more balanced, symmetrical, and harmonious appearance of the face. This is a non-invasive procedure leveraging FDA-approved products.

Dermal fillers may be injected in one or multiple areas, such as cheeks, jawline, chin, lips, nasolabial folds, temples, and undereyes.

  • Dermal fillers can achieve facial balance by restoring volume, enhancing symmetry, and smoothing lines. Dermal fillers are typically made of hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance that occurs naturally in the skin and helps keep it plump and hydrated. When injected, the HA attracts water to itself, which produces a plumping effect.

  • Benefits of facial balancing with dermal fillers include:

    • FDA-approved and hyaluronic acid-based for safety and compatibility with your body.

    • Instantly enhances volume, hydration, and symmetry.

    • Smooths fine lines.

    • Long-lasting results for 12–36 months.

    • Customizable to your aesthetic goals for natural-looking enhancements.

    • Less invasive, less recovery time, and more cost effective than plastic surgery options

  • Facial balancing with dermal fillers can be effective for adults with a range of concerns or goals hoping to achieve natural-looking enhancements to their facial appearance.

Clients may seek a sharper, more defined jawline or chin, more pronounced cheekbones, improved symmetry, and more.

  • The procedure typically takes 45–60 minutes. A numbing cream is applied to minimize discomfort during the injections. Results are visible immediately, though some swelling and minor bruising may occur for a few days. Most patients fully recover within a week.

Key points to remember after lip fillers:

    • Ice packs: Apply ice packs to the treated area for 10-minute intervals to reduce swelling and discomfort immediately after the procedure.

    • Avoid pressure: Don't touch, massage, or put pressure on your lips by kissing, pursing, or using a straw.

    • Hydration: Drink plenty of water to support healing.

    • Sleep position: Sleep with your head elevated on pillows to minimize swelling.

    • Makeup and lip products: Avoid wearing lipstick, lip balm, or any other lip products for at least 24 hours.

    • Heat exposure: Stay away from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, and hot beverages as they can increase swelling.

    • Exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours.

    • Alcohol and smoking: Refrain from alcohol and smoking as they can impact healing and increase bruising.

    • Follow-up appointments: Attend scheduled follow-up appointments with your healthcare provider to monitor healing and address any concerns.
